Before and After a Reiki Session

There is no real preparation required for a reiki session as a client. Just keep the below in mind:
Attend your session in clothes you feel comfy in, if you can!
Come into your session with an open mind. The more open you are to the healing process, the more deeply you will be able to receive.
Do not overthink the process. A reiki session is a time to get into the body and out of the mind.
Let your therapist know if you have any special requests or accommodations.

Although Reiki sessions are similar in nature, each practitioner is unique.
Overview of my sessions:
We will cover housekeeping items and any questions, concerns, special needs or preferences.
We will do a quick energy read with intuition and cards if you are comfortable.
Then you will lie fully clothed on the table and I will give you what you need to make sure you are comfortable.
Each and every session is different as I follow my intuition to guide me, but we will likely do some breathing, affirmations, and sound healing together.
Then I will help you get deeper into a relaxation state and start working deeper on your energy. If you so consent, there will be light touch as I move the energy during the session.
You may feel very sleepy or go into a dream-like state. This is normal! Please let your body relax.

Ideally after a reiki session, you will feel relaxed, balanced, and in a parasympathetic state.
After Session Care:
Drink lots of water.
Eat a nourishing meal after your session to support your body's healing process.
Rest as much as you can so the healing can continue to integrate.
Do not overthink how you are supposed to feel after your session. Every little shift is an important one.
It is normal to experience a range of emotions after a Reiki session, so allow yourself to experience those emotions with non-judgement so they can be released.
Journaling can be a happy and healing activity after a session to help you express and explore anything that arose.

Yes, reiki works virtually because energy transcends space and time. Anna can connect to you no matter where you are in the world.
Reiki can also be more effective virtually than in-person as it allows clients to be in a space that they are most comfortable in, which may allow the energy to flow easier.

Each person and session is unique!
Reiki can create a multitude of feelings in your body. You may feel physical, emotional, or spiritual manifestations of the energy moving through your body.
-Physically you may feel tingles, warmth, sleepiness, twitches and more. Emotionally you may feel emotions come up and may even feel like crying. This is a safe space to release that energy. Please let it flow!
-Spiritually, you have may visions or see colors, or even encounter a passed loved one.
It is also possible you feel nothing. That is okay- the energy is still doing its work!

As often as you feel called to! There is no prescription and there is no such thing as too much reiki. Everyone is different. Listen to what your body tells you.
